Malak Hijazi Abu Meizar is an experienced Human Resources professional with over 18 years of experience in strategic HR management, operations, and organizational development. She currently serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors for the second term at the Youth Development Resource Center (YDRC), where she contributes her expertise in people management, governance, and strategic planning to advance youth empowerment initiatives. Malak also holds the position of People Solutions Consultant – Middle East and Africa (MEA) at the British Council in Palestine, where she supports regional HR operations and service excellence across multiple countries.

Born in Jerusalem and raised in Hebron, Malak brings a grounded and authentic perspective to leadership, shaped by deep ties to her community and extensive regional experience. Her professional path has been defined by a commitment to social impact, equity, and institutional improvement. At the British Council, she has led several key HR initiatives, including policy development, operational improvement, and compliance with local and international labour regulations, while managing cross-functional teams across the MENA region.

As Secretary of the YDRC Board, Malak plays a vital role in maintaining effective governance, coordinating board meetings, and ensuring transparency and compliance. She also actively contributes to the strategic vision of the Center, drawing on her dual expertise in organizational leadership and grassroots engagement. She holds a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Hebron University and is CIPD-certified in HR Practice.
