Hebron YDRC hosted a specialized First Aid training implemented by Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP), as part of MAP’s efforts to promote health awareness and community readiness to respond to emergency situations.
The training aimed to equip participants with practical and essential skills in providing first aid and responding appropriately in emergencies to help save lives and reduce complications before professional medical teams arrive.
The three-day training, totaling 21 training hours, involved over 20 youth participants recruited by Hebron YDRC. It covered both theoretical and practical topics, including the definition and steps of first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), handling fractures, burns, choking, cardiac arrest, airway obstruction, as well as dealing with bites and stings of various types.
At the end of the training, participants underwent an evaluation test and received certificates of participation and first aid kits in recognition of their active engagement throughout the program.
It is worth noting that Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works in partnership with the Palestinian community to uphold their rights to health and dignity through the development of effective and sustainable healthcare services, the provision of medical aid during emergencies, and advocacy efforts that aim to promote the Palestinians’ right to healthcare.
