Hebron YDRC launches “Supporting Women in Economic Growth” project in Hebron Governorate. This work has been produced with the support of “Programme for Access to the Labor market (PALM II) which is implemented by GIZ on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic cooperation and development (BMZ).
Hebron YDRC launched the “Supporting Women in Economic Growth” project in Hebron Governorate, with the support of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), for a period of six months, targeting women who own small or home-based businesses, in a step aimed at enhancing women's economic presence and supporting the sustainability of their projects.
The project aims to enhance women entrepreneurs' access to the labor market through an integrated package that combines specialized practical training, career guidance, and direct financial grants, thereby contributing to improving income, developing business practices, and enhancing the economic sustainability of women's projects in the Hebron Governorate.
The project falls within the scope of self-employment and women's entrepreneurship, responding to local needs identified by local employment councils, with a particular focus on women who face challenges in developing their projects or expanding their customer base. This includes practical training, as well as group and individual mentoring sessions in the field of entrepreneurship.
The project also includes providing direct support grants to ten small women's projects, allocated for the purchase of materials or equipment necessary for project development, according to a clear and transparent mechanism, in addition to documenting success stories and project development through the production of visual content that reflects the positive impact of the intervention on the participants.
The project is being implemented in various areas of the Hebron governorate, including the city of Hebron, Bani Naim, Dura, and Al-Shuyukh. The project is expected to contribute to a tangible improvement in the performance of the beneficiary projects and to strengthen the participants' confidence in their entrepreneurial abilities, thereby supporting the wider integration of women into self-employment and the local labor market.
