Hebron YDRC launches “Building Youth Resilience and Wellbeing through MHPSS and Protection in Hebron” project in partnership with MAP

Hebron Youth Development Resources Center (Hebron YDRC)

launched the “Building Youth Resilience and Wellbeing through MHPSS and Protection in Hebron” project in partnership with Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP).

The project comes in response to the increasing psychological pressures and protection risks faced by children, youth, and families in the Hebron governorate, amid ongoing long-term crises, restrictions on movement, economic challenges, and the accompanying decline in mental health and poor access to safe spaces.

The project aims to strengthen the psychological resilience, protection, and psychosocial well-being of young people and families through integrated community-based interventions focused on psychosocial support and protection, contributing to the development of life skills, promoting positive coping, and building safe and supportive environments.

The project targets children and young people aged 10-24, as well as parents and caregivers, with a focus on those most at risk, ensuring equitable participation of girls and boys and the inclusion of persons with disabilities.

The project is being implemented in Hebron, through the Hebron YDRC, with participants from Hebron Governorate. It includes interventions such as psychosocial support camps, mental health-promoting sports activities, and skills-building and future planning programs.

The project is expected to contribute to improving the mental health and psychosocial well-being of children and young people, reducing protection risks, and strengthening the role of families and the local community in providing safer and more inclusive environments.
