Hebron YDRC hosted a special public viewing event this evening featuring the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 16 match between the Moroccan national team and Canada. The event was held as part of the “Our Home 2026” Season, organized by Hebron YDRC to commemorate the 30th anniversary of its establishment.
The event brought together children, young people, families, and volunteers in an exciting sporting atmosphere, where attendees enthusiastically followed the match while passionately supporting the Moroccan national team. Morocco secured a well-deserved place in the quarterfinals with a convincing 3–0 victory over Canada.
The event also featured interactive competitions for attendees, with a variety of prizes awarded to the winners, creating an atmosphere of excitement and enjoyment while fostering participation among children, youth, and families. At the final whistle, the center was filled with celebrations marking Morocco’s victory and qualification for the next stage, in a scene that reflected the spirit of brotherhood and solidarity among Arab peoples.
The event was organized in cooperation with the Palestinian-Moroccan Friendship Association, represented by its President, Dr. Mohammad Ziad Al-Jaabari, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration in implementing community and cultural initiatives that reinforce the fraternal ties between the Palestinian and Moroccan peoples.
Hebron YDRC affirmed that the event forms part of the diverse program of the “Our Home 2026” Season, which aims to provide safe and welcoming spaces that bring community members together while promoting participation and engagement through a wide range of sports, cultural, and recreational activities designed to meet the interests of different age groups.
Launched to mark three decades since the establishment of Hebron YDRC, the “Our Home 2026” Season continues to deliver high-quality initiatives that bring joy to children, young people, and families while fostering a sense of belonging and teamwork through programs that combine recreation, education, volunteerism, and meaningful community impact.
The “Our Home 2026” Season will continue over the coming months with a series of sporting, cultural, artistic, scientific, and community events, reflecting Hebron YDRC’s mission to empower young people, strengthen social cohesion, and build a positive environment that provides opportunities for participation, creativity, and shaping the future.
